Is it racial?
From my experience being an asian artist in commercial music, the western world is just not ready for it yet.
I was once told r&b/pop genre is racist and exclusive to blacks and whites and latinos...
Is that true?

Why aren't there asian solo artists in mainstream commercial music?
Who can name me one SUCCESSFUL solo asian artist in commercial music (pop/r&b/rock/dance)? There isn't ! I am not counting the bands that may have one asian in it, but ONE SOLO ARTIST to the magnitude of Beyonce, Rhianna, Katy Perry status... I am not counting classical and jazz genres either.
